with my nokia n73, and my apple powerbook running 10.4.7, i suppose the true interchange of all types files is out of the question until the germans who produce 'launch-to-net' come up with something, (in weeks for the n73 i'm told), otherwise transferring any info other than by the limited isync prog. is very problematic. do nokia have a policy of ignoring apple compat. or am i missing something.

1.i have encountered this problem and I went to the Nokia Care near me... They have reflashed the firmware and the girl who fixed it showed me the camera works. Then I was off, but after a few steps I tried the camera and the "hardware failure: restart camera" message popped up again. What she did is to remove the memory card and tried the camera and what do you know? the camera worked! So I reformatted my memory card and everything is well in the world again.
2.there is problem inside ur phone. better solution u should take it technician, if ur phone is under warrenty then take it to nearest nokia care. ur phone need to be repaired.
3.Its the camera slide, not the phone. I have one with the same problem. Simply stick a bit of blue tack on the battery by the contacts for the camera, place the cover back on, and the problem goes away. Its dodgy contacts, thats all.

Sorry to bother you, but I really need some help regarding my phone. I have N73 ME, and all the files (ie images, videos & tracks) are all missing from my phone gallery..this happens a few days ago. At first only the images & videos, but the next day all my tracks are missing too!I know they're all still in my phone 'cos i check using file manager, and they're still there. Just not in my gallery.I have scanned the phone a couple of times (once using the phone's antivirus & another from my pc as a mas storage device), and both times no virus detected.So, if possible can you explain why this happens? I am guessing that all your data is stored on your memory card. If this is the case, try removing and reinserting your memory card.

After a long wait I finally purchased my unlocked Nokia N73 while on a trip to the Middle-East. I decided to enhance my perfectly working phone with an update from the Nokia web site. I installed the newest firmware on my PC, started the download process until I moved the usb cable and the phone powered off and would not power back on. I was told the firmware update did not complete and someone needs to reinstall software. Nokiausa won't help since the phone was not purchased here in the USA,and I cannot find anyone that could help me!!

Even remove the battery to get it going again. But give it plenty of time.I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.

you need to format your phone. try the soft format of *#7370# , if this doesnt work then do a hard format by folowing these steps1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left. 2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card. 3. Switch-off your phone. 4. Press and hold these 3 keys; Green dial key, * (star key) and no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to switch on the phone. Do not let go all of the keys, hold until you see a formatting word screen show! 5. After a few minutes when the full phone formatting completed, your phone will be back to original system and factory setttings. All applications installed will be lost unless you've made a backup on your mmc. You can restore the backup to the C drive again.You should also try to save all your data on the mmc, that includes pics, mp3, videos ,games. avoid saving data on phone memory unless you have no memory card (mmc)Formating phone will delete all your files in the phone memory so you should back up all your data before doig a full format

My N73 hangs-up after i transfer my video files to my PC. I guess my N73 unit is infected by a virus. I found out that after I scan my computer units there were viruses found.I want to format my N73 unit but dont know what is the Operating System to be used for N73.

according to memory details, i have 657 MB left in my memory card, yet prompts come up that say "memory full , delete some data" or another prompt that says i cannot receive incoming messages and must delete data , there is also a flashing envelope icon. ive turned the phone on and off, as per advice of some people, yet it is still the same. 1.I think the problem is that the SMS memory is diffrent from the memory card.In order to fix your problem try and delete some of the msgs (SMS) that you have in the inbox, usually this will free up the memory you need

Saving Bluetooth Messages in Memory Card in Nokia n73

All my files missing from my gallery
Problem:
Sorry to bother you, but I really need some help regarding my phone. I have N73 ME, and all the files (ie images, videos & tracks) are all missing from my phone gallery..this happens a few days ago. At first only the images & videos, but the next day all my tracks are missing too!I know they're all still in my phone 'cos i check using file manager, and they're still there. Just not in my gallery.I have scanned the phone a couple of times (once using the phone's antivirus & another from my pc as a mas storage device), and both times no virus detected.So, if possible can you explain why this happens? And how to get the files back?Thanks in advance

I am guessing that all your data is stored on your memory card. If this is the case, try removing and reinserting your memory card.

u have to switch off the 3D sounds...u can find it in somewhere in your menu..the 3D sounds effect in almost all the N73s have the same symptoms as described by you.
Nokia N73 software update problem

After a long wait I finally purchased my unlocked Nokia N73 while on a trip to the Middle-East. I decided to enhance my perfectly working phone with an update from the Nokia web site. I installed the newest firmware on my PC, started the download process until I moved the usb cable and the phone powered off and would not power back on. I was told the firmware update did not complete and someone needs to reinstall software. Nokiausa won't help since the phone was not purchased here in the USA,and I cannot find anyone that could help me!!

1.When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;DO NOT-----DO NOT---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again. But give it plenty of time.I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.

you need to format your phone. try the soft format of *#7370# , if this doesnt work then do a hard format by folowing these steps1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left. 2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card. 3. Switch-off your phone. 4. Press and hold these 3 keys; Green dial key, * (star key) and no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to switch on the phone. Do not let go all of the keys, hold until you see a formatting word screen show! 5. After a few minutes when the full phone formatting completed, your phone will be back to original system and factory setttings. All applications installed will be lost unless you've made a backup on your mmc. You can restore the backup to the C drive again.You should also try to save all your data on the mmc, that includes pics, mp3, videos ,games. avoid saving data on phone memory unless you have no memory card (mmc)Formating phone will delete all your files in the phone memory so you should back up all your data before doig a full format

My N73 Hangs-up After Connecting to My PC

My N73 hangs-up after i transfer my video files to my PC. I guess my N73 unit is infected by a virus. I found out that after I scan my computer units there were viruses found.I want to format my N73 unit but dont know what is the Operating System to be used for N73.

2.that code *#7370# is indeed great amy but i guess one even better solution is to have your unit's software upgraded. we have the same unit model. mine is an n73 music edition original. i havent upgraded my unit yet
Nokia n73 Memory full
Problem:
according to memory details, i have 657 MB left in my memory card, yet prompts come up that say "memory full , delete some data" or another prompt that says i cannot receive incoming messages and must delete data , there is also a flashing envelope icon. ive turned the phone on and off, as per advice of some people, yet it is still the same. I cant even do simple functions, i keep getting prompted to delete data, which i have done, removing 400 pictures, freeing up so much memory space, yet still i cannot receive incoming messages because of "memory full" SO FRUSTRATING, HELP PLEASE!!!
Solution:
1.I think the problem is that the SMS memory is diffrent from the memory card.In order to fix your problem try and delete some of the msgs (SMS) that you have in the inbox, usually this will free up the memory you need
2.Try to change your default memory to Memory Card in Phone seeting then delete some messages from inbox. Aftr changing the Default Memory the phone will stores newly installed Apps, messages in Memory Card
